About Us
The Irish Cycling Campaign is a passionate network of cycling advocates from both urban and rural Ireland. We believe cycling is a key solution to many of society’s challenges – improving public health, protecting the environment, and strengthening the economy.
Our vision is an Ireland where everyone, regardless of age or ability, can safely cycle to shops, schools, and workplaces. With deep expertise in research, policy, transport planning, infrastructure design, event management, and behaviour change, we are Ireland’s trusted voice on cycling.
Through collaboration and strategic partnerships, we drive meaningful change far beyond our size as an NGO. By harnessing the dedication and knowledge of our network, we work to create safer, more accessible public spaces – for everyone, whether they cycle or not.

The Irish Cycling Campaign operates under a robust governance structure, ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making. Our organization is led by a Board, who oversee our strategic direction and activities. The Board works closely with an Executive Committee responsible for day-to-day operations and advocacy efforts with Action Groups.
We also engage our Local and Thematic groups, and partners in shaping our initiatives, ensuring that our work remains responsive to the needs of cycling communities across Ireland. Through this collaborative governance model, we strive to make cycling safer, more accessible, and more sustainable for all.

Irish Cycling Campaign in Europe
As Ireland’s national member of the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), we work to promote cycling across the country on a European level. Our goal is to create a cycling culture that benefits people, communities, and the environment. By working with various stakeholders, we represent Ireland to make cycling safer, more sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.
